Shares of private companies are out of reach for most people until the IPO. A pre-IPO perpetual lets you trade a view on the company's valuation before it lists. The Anthropic market in Sparkling, ticker ANT, works like any other perp in the app: you describe the trade, read the card and confirm.
It is a perpetual future whose price reflects where traders think Anthropic is worth before public trading starts. You post USDC margin, choose long if you expect a higher valuation or short if you expect a lower one, and gains or losses are paid in USDC.

A normal perp is anchored to a spot market by arbitrage. A private company has no spot market, so the contract starts from a reference valuation, often the last funding round or an aggregated estimate, and then trades on supply and demand. That is why pre-IPO perps can run far above or below the last private valuation, and why funding can be large.
Margin, funding and liquidation work as on any contract described on our page about perpetual futures.
Anthropic made its S-1 registration statement public on 26 October 2026 and plans to list Class A shares on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker ANT. The filing does not yet include a price range, and the listing date is not final. When the stock starts trading, the contract follows the terms of the venue it runs on; any change is shown in the app.
