Buy crypto in Sparkling and keep it in your own wallet
Buying crypto used to mean an exchange account, a deposit and an order book. In Sparkling you sign in with email, pay with a card or send in coins, and ask for what you want in a sentence. The coins arrive in a wallet that only you can sign from.
Ways to buy crypto online
There are three common ways in, and they differ mainly in speed, cost and who holds the coins afterwards.
| Centralized exchange | Peer-to-peer | Sparkling | |
|---|---|---|---|
| How you pay | Bank transfer or card | Transfer to a seller | Card where supported, or crypto |
| Who holds the coins | The exchange | You, after release | You, from the first minute |
| How you place the order | Order form | Chat with a stranger | A sentence to the agent |
| Main risk | Platform freezes or failures | Fraud by the counterparty | Sending to a wrong address |
Buying crypto with a card or US dollars
Card payment is the fastest route for most people: you choose an amount in USD or your local currency, pay through a supported payment method, and the coins are credited to your Sparkling wallet, usually within minutes.
- Visa and Mastercard debit cards are the most widely accepted.
- Some banks block or treat crypto purchases on credit cards as a cash advance.
- Card availability depends on your country and card issuer.
- If you already hold USDC or another coin, a deposit from your own wallet avoids card costs.
Whichever route you use, compare the full price in our quote, including the payment and network costs; our fees page explains each line.
Can you buy crypto without KYC?
Signing in to Sparkling needs only an email, with no documents and no seed phrase. Identity checks depend on how you pay and where you live: card payments go through a regulated payment provider that may ask for ID, and we may request verification when the law requires it.
Services that promise fully anonymous purchases are a common way to lose money. We’d rather be clear: the regulated route takes a few minutes longer and protects you.

Which crypto to buy first
Most first purchases are bitcoin, ether or a dollar stablecoin. Bitcoin is the largest and oldest network, ether powers most apps, and USDC keeps a dollar value, which makes it a common base for later trades; you can turn it into other coins later with USDC swaps in the same account.
This is not a recommendation; crypto prices are volatile and you can lose the amount you put in.
